Hi Everyone!
If you’ve made it this far, it’s obvious you hold a deep desire to get in great shape. The first thing I want you to know is
that you’re not alone! At one point in time, I was in the same shoes you’re in. I was frustrated with the way I looked, fed up with the way I felt and a little concerned about my personal health. About 15 years ago (I can’t believe it’s been that long already!), I went away to college and personified the expression, “freshman 15″ … with one exception. I made it the “freshman 45!” I can still remember coming home from college for Thanksgiving and one of my friends telling me I needed to step on the scale. I knew when I went away, I was a lean and athletic 195 lbs. I couldn’t believe my eyes when the scale registered 240 lbs! All I could think was, “what the hell just happened in the last 3 months!!!” It was my ultimate low point. Needless to say, that’s when my passion for fitness was born.
I’ve been involved in the field of health and fitness for more than a decade in a variety of roles. I’ve been a fitness trainer, basketball coach, baseball coach, soccer coach, high school physical education teacher and elementary physical education … and then back to where I started my journey, as personal trainer, which is where I have discovered my real passion lies. The feeling of helping people achieve their personal fitness goals and seeing the expressions of happiness as they lose pound after pound of fat is the ultimate feeling of fulfillment for me. Having been in the same position as many of my clients start out in, I can relate to where they are in their respective lives.
It is my ultimate goal to improve the quality of life of as many people as possible. I’ve helped hundreds of people get into great shape, and I hope that I’ll be able to help you, either through all of the information in this blog, or by working with you one-on-one!
